Joe Angel announced his retirement recently which leaves an open seat in the Orioles Radio Network broadcast booth. The birds have named Kevin Brown as the newest addition to that broadcast team as he is expected to do play by play for roughly 50 games this season. He joined Scott Garceau & Brent Harris on 105.7 The Fan today to introduce himself to Oriole fans.
We learned a lot about Kevin in his chat with Scott & Brent. He's a huge Oasis fan, he prefers crab cakes to steamed crabs and he actully grew up a fan of one of the Orioles division rivals.
In their chat, he talked about his rise through the broadcasting ranks from doing minor league play by play to college basketball. Kevin also mentioned that this is a great time to join the Orioles broadcast team since the entire organization is also going through changes.
